First thing: Firefox has been having issues for a long while now, so I am trying out Google Chrome. I kind of like it so far.
Second: I was cleaning my room today because my mom was getting annoyed with my "spring cleaning" attitude downstairs... So I was going through a whole bunch of papers in my desk drawer. Among all my old physics notes and People to People handouts, I found 2 interesting things. I want to post them here. I'll put one in this post and one in the next as they are not really related at all.
So, the first thing I found is a bit of research I had done for a speech in 12th grade English class. I was supposed to argue against music censorship. While looking for quotes and things to help prove my point (I remember finding one from Frank Zappa, but I couldn't find it, it was a neat quote, though.) I came across a list of songs that the big radio stations had blacklisted after 9/11. The list seemed horrifically stupid to me then, and it still does. Some of the songs, I can kind of understand... but others. It's just ridiculous that they would be banned.
( I present to you, the list of songs )Some of these, I just don't understand...
Censorship bothers me. They let Britney Spears run around singing "F-U-C-K Me!" (That's what she's saying, in case anyone didn't catch her attempt to be "clever" in her new song) where anyone can hear, and yet they didn't want to play any song that had the word "airplane" in it, regardless of how harmless it was.
